Tips For Visiting the State Parks in Florida!

Most of the state parks in Florida and the "Keys" have hiking trails and many offer handicapped access with groomed sections and lookout areas. Study the "State Park" links above to find out what amenities and concessions are offered so you can visit prepared

When exploring the back-country trails and hammocks, take your time. Read the signs, listen and learn the fauna and flora. Archive them with your camera. Use your best "green" skills when exploring the parks.

Find a nice shady spot and have lunch. Relax and enjoy these areas. Keep in mind that these places have dodged the development bullet! In my book, that makes them extremely scarce and special indeed.

Check out our "Keys Kit" below. You don't need much, but what you need, you need! At the very least you will want to bring extra water, bug spray, sunscreen, snacks for energy, a hat, sunglasses, a long sleeve shirt, long pants, and a camera!
