John Pennekamp State Park!You'll Find Two Nice Beach Areas Here!This park is world famous and a major attraction to those visiting the "Keys". If you are looking for a bunch of outdoor activities, this is the place for you. If you are looking for a little solitude and a place to yourself, you probably need to keep looking.
Located at MM 102 Oceanside, The park is easy to find. Watch for the big sign. The entrance turns directly off of the Overseas Highway towards the ocean. Be careful because there is a lot of traffic in this area. John Pennekamp has plenty to offer. Two beaches, boat rentals and guided trips, swimming, snorkeling, diving, and camping are also available. Along with the many concessions, there is a nice little store with gifts and food. Showers, restrooms, and picnic areas are available and adjacent to the store. The visitor center is loaded with information on the area. Stop in and get a little education on the state park's marine and wildlife resources. This park is all about enjoying some fun in the sun. There is something for everyone at John Pennekamp. This is a great place to bring your family and friends to share some good times!
