Hot Buttered Rum Recipe

JJ's Hot Buttered Rum Recipe has been a holiday favorite around our house for years!

We found this recipe when we were living in Idaho years ago. It is the perfect holiday drink and cold weather warmer upper.

Now that we live at the opposite corner of the country, we still enjoy it on those special occasions. You know, holidays, cold snaps, sun rises, sun sets...

JJ's Hot Buttered Rum!

Ingredients:

1.5 tsp of butter
1 tsp of Karo Syrup (light)
1 tsp brown sugar
Whipped Cream
2.5 oz anejo rum

Spices

Cinnamon Stick
Allspice
Cloves
Nutmeg

To Mix:

Add butter, Karo, brown sugar, dash of allspice and a dash of cloves to a large coffee cup.
Add anejo rum.
Add hot water and stir well.
Top with whip cream.
Sprinkle nutmeg on whip cream.
Garnish with a cinnamon stick.
