Florida Everglades

"The Florida Everglades are a true natural wonder!"

Sometimes referred to as the "River of Grass", the glades are home to wide variety of plants and animals including the America Alligator and the American Crocodile.

Everglades National Park is like no other wetland in the world.

The "River of Grass" is a true American treasure and an oasis for the naturalist in all of us.

Whenever we get a chance, we visit and explore the Everglades.

Each time we go, we are amazed by it's beauty and vastness.

On each return visit, we see things we somehow missed the time before.

I suppose we could visit everyday for the rest of our lives and never see it all.

There are numerous ways to enjoy the everglades.

While you are visiting, catch a ride on one of the many everglades airboats and explore this amazing back-country and alligator habitat!

Be Prepared!

Mosquitoes and other biting bugs are a year around concern in the Everglades with summer the most severe due to the heat and humidity. Be prepared with proper clothing and insect repellent!

This is an easy way to see the wildlife in the everglades.

Try hiking some of the trails that are scattered through out the everglades, or take one of the kayak or canoe trips where you will see what this magnificent wetland has to offer!

If you are a camera buff, Everglades photography will offer you some amazing opportunities to capture landscapes, skyscapes and wildlife images.
