This wonderful chicken and spinach croissant recipe was submitted by Amber.
It really holds it’s own as a main course, and works well at casual or semi formal get togethers.
It has a bold flavor and when paired with your favorite chardonnay wine, the two work very well together!
Here’s another one for all your friends and family!
Chicken and Spinach Croissant!
- 1 can Pillsbury Dough Boy Crescent Rolls
- 2 large chicken breasts (cooked and shredded)
- 1 cup fresh chopped spinach
- 1 bag frozen microwaveable broccoli (cooked/steamed)
- 1 bag of shredded 3 or 5 blend cheese
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- ¼ cup yellow mustard
- Garlic salt
Mix cooked chicken, steamed broccoli, shredded cheese, mayonnaise, yellow mustard and seasonings.
Unroll (do not separate crescent shapes) dough onto a greases pan. Put above mixture onto dough. Make slices from the edge of the mixture to the outer edge of the dough, creating tabs, on each side. Bring tabs from each side together and twist at top, connecting each new twist at the of the mixture, creating a braid.
Bake according to dough instructions. Adding 5 to ten minutes may be necessary for dough to fully cook on the bottom.
Wine Pairing: Your favorite chardonnay! The Los Vascos is definitely worth a try. Some dishes just seem go better with wine than others. I think this is one of them.
