Annes Beach, A Sandy Stretch of Paradise!

Easy to Find and Easy to Unwind!

"Annes Beach offers sunbathing, swimming, fishing and picnic areas." It's a great place to enjoy!

This is an excellent little beach next to the Overseas Highway. Located on Lower Matecumbe Key at MM 73.8 Oceanside. Catch this beautiful beach at low tide if possible!

There is a boardwalk that meanders through the mangroves and wetland hammock. Along the boardwalk there are 5 sheltered picnic areas where you can have lunch while watching the ocean! The view from these picnic shelters is worth the trip alone. There are many access points from the boardwalk to the beach.

Anne's is a great place to sunbath, relax with a book, or take a nap. Be sure to bring a friend along to roll you over when the first side is done.

Although weekends at Anne's draw a pretty good crowd, it seems like you can always find your own little piece of paradise.

It is a popular beach for locals, day-trippers and vacationers.

Be sure to bring your beach kit. Beach towels or mats, sunglasses, hat, sunscreen, lunch, plenty of water, and, your camera!

Be sure to schedule Anne's as a must see destination while in the "Keys". If you are just on the cruise, it's the perfect place to stop and unwind after driving down from the mainland.

“The sea does not reward those who are too anxious, too greedy, or too impatient. One should lie empty, open, choiceless as a beach - waiting for a gift from the sea.”
- Anne Morrow Lindbergh

This little section of nirvana is dedicated to the local environmentalist, Anne Eaton.

There are few amenities at Anne's so bring your own! Pets are welcome, but keep them on a leash and make sure to clean up after them.

Restrooms are available and located in the northern parking area.

"A Word of Caution"

Annes Beach has two parking areas about a quarter of a mile apart. The signs showing Anne's Beach are small and easy to miss. Once you locate the beach and are trying to park, be careful. This area sees heavy traffic.
