Hello Jim and Julia,
I’ve enjoyed your website from the first day I found it and I look in on you every time I get lonesome for the good life. Last time I was down your way, I took a side trip (construction!) and ended up stopping at Alabama Jack’s over on the Card Sound road. I'm sure you have been there -- what a place and what a friendly crew! I have to tell you, the conch fritters are to die for, and they tell me the grouper sandwiches are wonderful too. I didn’t try a sandwich, as I was too busy filling up on fritters. Did I mention the cold beer?
Alabama Jack’s is one of those places where you feel at home from the time you arrive, and the road takes you through a part of the everglades up close. Whether you just stop in for lunch, or whether you want to just sit back and spend the afternoon watching the fishing boats go by, it is time well spent (I started with lunch and spent the afternoon!). I would absolutely recommend this as a must stop for everyone visiting the Keys. I really enjoy your site and look forward to checking on some of your favorites on my next trip down. Keep up the good work!
A well satisfied diner, Grace from up north
