A Day In Key West!

Key West is in a category all by itself. You can find more to do there in a days time, than you have time for. So plan on staying awhile.
I love the museums and the historical sites. My sister and her husband came to visit and we all went to Key West to "watch the sunset". This is truly an amazing and fun event in Key West.
But you can't just go to watch the sunset, you have to go and look around, have lunch and if you have a designated driver, have a few drinks..... Personally, I am our teams full time DD. But, if I did partake of the drink Key West offers every kind, flavor and color that you can imagine.
But Key West is not only about drinking. The sites are truly a pleasure. We went to the Hemmingway house and took the tour and checked out the grounds. It was a step back into history. A time when everything was kind of an adventure in the Key West area. We checked out the local cemetery and saw the infamous head stone that says "I told you I was sick". We checked out the Southern most home on the island and took our picture by the buoy. All the touristy things to do.
Then, when the sun started to go down, we all meandered down Duvall street to Mallory Square and watched the night performers do their thing. We saw everything from a sword swallower, to animal acts and mimes. There were even wares to be bought and sold. It is truly an adventure that you don't want to miss.
This was just a typical day on the island, you won't believe what goes on when they host a big event! That story will have to be for another day!
